18 Years at Jennings Senior High School

2 years at Washington Elementary in the Normandy School District

As a graduate from Troy Buchanan High School Class of 1991, I ventured out to further my education at Lindenwood University in St. Charles, MO.  With my love of art, I decided to pursue a degree in Studio Art with an emphasize of Drawing and Painting.  I graduated in 3 1/2 years time and married my husband, Brad Kelch of St. Charles.  I then decided to go back to Lindenwood and receive my teaching degree with the encouragement of my grandfather.  I started teaching in 1997 at Washington Elementary in the Normandy School District for two years.  From there, I became the art teacher at Jennings Senior High for the past 18 years.  I am still enjoying it.  I have also taken on numerous rolls while at Jennings such as Department Chair of the Fine Arts and Art Guild Sponsor.

When away from teaching, I also own a painting business known as StudioJK.  I do custom painting and murals in homes and business around the St. Charles County Area including the artwork for the Child Center in Wentzville, MO and Hannibal, MO.  Likewise, I do many commissioned portraits and canvassed paintings.

In my free time, my greatest past time is spending time with my grandparents who live in Moscow Mills, MO.,  spoiling my eight nieces and nephews and one godson as well as the rest of my family.  I also spend time camping, fishing, traveling to new places around the world with my husband and of course Drawing and Painting.
