Mr. Sellers was born and raised in Western Pennsylvania where he attended Shaler Area High School and Westminster College (BS in Chemistry and Mathematics). After Student Teaching (and coaching) at North Allegheny Senior High School, Mr. Sellers attended graduate school at Indiana University - Bloomington where he earned his Master of Arts in Teaching Chemistry while conducting research with brominated cobalt dicarbollides (IUMSC 96109) and serving as an Associate Instructor for General Chemistry.

After two years of graduate school, Mr. Sellers entered the high school classroom where he has spent the last twenty years. Five years at Bloomington High School South followed by six years at MICDS and then another six in Des Moines, Iowa. In addition to teaching, Mr. Sellers has coached soccer and swimming at the youth, high school and college level.
